WWE Championship Spinner Replica Belts Compared

There are roughly four different WWE Championship spinner replicas manufactured by two companies. This gallery compares the Version 1 Spinner from the Figures Toy Company to the Version 2 Spinner from the WWE Shop. The Figures Toy Company was the original manufacturer of replica belts until 2014. The newer replica belts carry the WWE Shop name on their back patch, and no other manufacturer’s name.

The WWE Championship Spinner belt debuted on Smackdown back in 2005. Shortly after, John Cena and the spinner belt moved to Monday Night Raw, and one of the side plates was changed from Smack Down with a fist to Mon Nite RAW with a lock. The first replica belt had this Mon Nite Raw side plate. Many years later, the side plate was changed to another WWE Champion side plate that mirrored the first. This change was followed by a new replica that carried the version 2 (V2) moniker.

The most common differences between the two manufacturers is that the Figures Toy Company belts have lighter gold plates while the WWE Shop has darker gold plates. The WWE Shop also has deeper etching, giving more detail to all the different designs. The area behind the spinning logo completely pops on the WWE Shop spinner, but is incredibly faint on the Figures Toy Company spinner.

Another alteration affected both the CHAMP and eagle relief pieces on the main plate. The CHAMP piece is flush with the main plate on the Figures Toy Company spinner but is raised on some metal pegs on the WWE Shop spinner. I believe it was raised to give the illusion of thicker plates without actually making the piece thicker. The spinning piece on the WWE Shop spinner is also raised a little bit from the main plate.

The straps are a little different as well. The Figures Toy Company straps are known to peel and flake over time, while the WWE Shop straps are far sturdier with no separate patches. The detail on the snap boxes are imprinted into the polyurethane WWE Shop strap, but the Figs Toy Co strap sews on extra pieces. However, the Spinner from Figures Toy Co in this gallery is the deluxe spinner. The deluxe spinner has a genuine leather strap.

After reviewing and comparing both spinners, I decided to keep the WWE Shop Spinner because the etching on the plates was deeper and had so much more detail. I think I prefer the flush relief pieces on the main plate that the Figures Toy Company spinner has, but I over looked that for the details that pop. If you’d like to get one of these, you can buy a brand new WWE Championship spinner replica from the WWE Shop. The Figures Toy Company no longer manufactures spinner replica belts, meaning you will have to find one used, and deluxe spinners are incredibly rare and high priced.
