Here’s how to upgrade to Windows 10 right now and fix your Nvidia drivers if they fail.
I reserved my copy of Windows 10 months ago, but my computer had trouble downloading the package and installing it under updates. Then I learned you could install Windows 10 a much faster and easier way by simply using the Media Creation Tool from the official Microsoft Website.
You will need to know if your Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit before you download the tool. If you’re running Windows 7, click Start, right click My Computer, then click Properties. This page will tell you if you have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. If you’re running Windows 8 or 8.1, click Start, click Control Panel, click System and Security, and click System.
Once you know your OS, download and run the Media Creation Tool. It’ll take awhile for the program to download the 3 GB Windows 10 package, but you can continue using your computer as it downloads. Once it’s ready to install, close everything and simply wait for the computer to install and restart a few times.
That’s it! Share this post with anyone who may still be waiting in line for their Windows 10 upgrade.
