From The Ground Up is a large side quest in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. It begins the construction of a new village called Tarrey Town in the Akkala Region, NE Hyrule. This side quest can only be started after completing the Hylian Homeowner side quest in Hateno Village.
Locate Hudson working on constructing the new village. He will talk about how there’s nothing in the new town. The first step is to bring 10 bundles of wood. These can be obtained by chopping down trees and then chopping the fallen trunk. View the bundles in the materials section of your inventory.
After giving Hudson the wood bundles, he will ask you to bring someone with brute physical strength to move the boulders. Travel to the Southern Mine on Death Mountain to find two Gorons hard at work during the day and resting at night. Speak with Grayson and Pelison at night to tell them about Tarrey Town.
Return to Tarrey Town and speak with Hudson. He will tell you Grayson and Pelison are great matches because of their name. This will be a pattern as you find more people. Moreover, Pelison has set up a shop selling the ore found in boulders. Before the next step can be started, you will need 20 bundles of wood.

Bring 20 wood bundles back to Hudson to start the next step in this quest. Hudson will then ask you to find someone who’s got a gift for tailoring. You can find this Gerudo on the west side of Kara Kara Bazaar. Speak with Rhondson and tell her about Tarry Town.
Return to Tarrey Town and speak with Hudson. He will tell you Rhondson set up a clothing shop and has helped patch his clothes. Before the next step can be started, you will need 30 bundles of wood.

Bring 30 wood bundles back to Hudson to start the next step in this quest. Hudson will ask you to find someone who knows about distribution and can run a general store. You can find this Rito on the east side of Rito Village at the bottom of the stairs. Speak with Fyson and tell him about Tarrey Town. You might want to chop down some trees in this area before going back.
Return to Tarrey Town and speak with Hudson. He will tell you Fyson set up a General Store. Before the next step can be started, you must bring 50 bundles of wood.

Bring 50 wood bundles back to Hudson to start the next step in this quest. Hudson will tell you he got engaged to Rhondson. He will ask you to find someone priest-like for the ceremony. You can find the Zora in Zora’s Domain. Speak with Kapson and tell him about the couple.
Return to Tarrey Town and speak with Hudson. He will tell you Kapson has already set up an Inn in Tarrey Town. You can stay there for free. The final step is to invite guests to the wedding. You will need to invite his boss, Bolson, and his subordinate, Karson. They are still in Hateno Village near your home. Tell them about the wedding and they will head right over.
Return to Tarrey Town and speak with Hudson to begin the wedding ceremony. This will complete From The Ground Up. Hudson will reward you with Diamond x3. Of course, the new town is a reward in itself.
