The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild features Amiibo compatibility on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. Use an Amiibo to instantly receive random loot and/or a treasure chest. Specific Amiibo from the Legend of Zelda series will also yield special rewards.
To use an Amiibo in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, switch to the Amiibo Rune on the Sheikah Slate, then place the Amiibo on the NFC part of the Wii U Gamepad or Nintendo Switch Joycon. Each Amiibo figure can be used once a day (real-world time).
