Rock Tunnel is a two floor cave within Route 10. It’s the only way to reach Lavender Town on the first play through. The path is pitch black, making it incredibly hard to navigate through. Use HM05 Flash to illuminate the entire cave in one step. If you missed it earlier, this Hidden Machine can be found on Route 2, and requires the Thunder Badge to use on the field.
Follow the path from the ladder to the southeast until you reach a Pokemon Trainer.

The ladder up a level can be found at the northwest corner of this path, beyond all the trainers. It will take you to an area with three more trainers, but two can be avoided. It’s best to battle everyone so your Pokemon are strong enough.

Take the ladder down a level to reach a new path. Walk northwest along the twisted path to find three trainers leading towards the final ladder.
