Meltan is a mythical steel-type Pokemon that made its debut in Pokemon Go. After obtaining the rare Pokemon in the mobile game, it can be transferred to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee using the Go Park Complex in Fuchsia City.
There are two methods to obtain Meltan in Pokemon Go. The first way is to complete 21 different challenges that will most likely take several days. There are nine sets of three that will give you XP and rewards. After completing a challenge and collecting the XP increase, you must go to a Poke Stop to get the next challenge. The challenges can be found at the bottom-right corner of the screen by tapping the binoculars icon. Tap the “Special” header to the right of the “Field” header to find the 21 “Let’s Go, Meltan” challenges.
The easiest way to get Meltan is to transfer at least one Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee using bluetooth connections. A mystery box will appear in your inventory of Pokemon Go once the transfer is complete. Open it to spawn Meltan near you for 30 minutes. This can be done once every three days.
To evolve Meltan into Melmetal, you must obtain 400 Meltan candies in Pokemon Go and use them on a single Meltan. Use Pinap berries before capturing Meltan to boost the amount of candies you receive. Another option is to set a Meltan as your Buddy in Pokemon Go to find Meltan candies after walking a set amount of kilometers.
