You’ll run into a boy who needs your help. He says he needs you to find his two farfetch’d. There will be twigs scattered all over the forest. If you step on any the Farfetch’d will face you. Get behind him and capture him by circling around a square group of trees. The other will be further east in the forest. You’ll first find a Revive, then you’ll see the Farfetch’d further north east. There will be three vertical paths to get to him and he’ll be on the first path. Walk up the second and step on the twigs to make him face you, then go back and walk up the first path to make him move to the right. Next head around the circle at the top east section and step on the set of twigs to the right to make him face right. Head back around where you just came from and catch him from behind. You will return to the boy who asked you to help him and receive HM01 Cut. Now you can cut down the tree blocking your way through Ilex Forest, but first head back to Azalea town to the charcoal maker’s house. Talk to the same boy to receive the hold item Charcoal!
Now that you have HM01 you should have the Hive Badge. You can now cut down the skinny tree to access the rest of the forest. Head North from there and when you turn East you’ll see a little path going down and to the right. In there is an X-Attack. Now take the top path East and next to the pond behind a tree is an Antidote. Continue East and you’ll see a guy on the little ledge. You’ll have to go all the way around (north, east, south, west) to reach him but it will be worth it! You’ll find a move tutor that can teach your pokemon (multiple times for free) the move “Headbutt.” Now you have a good move and the ability to headbutt trees. Why headbutt trees? Because there are special pokemon you can only find but headbutting trees! Now head back North to find an Ether and west from there to exit the forest. When you exit the forest to get to the next route talk with the lady behind the counter to get TM12 Taunt.

Goldenrod city has lots to offer. First heal your pokemon! Next you can check out the Department Store East of the Pokemon Center. It’s huge! There’s not much on the ground floor. On the 5th floor there are two events. On Sundays a woman will come to evaluate your first pokemon in your party. If it’s really bad or really good she’ll give you a TM (Return or Frustration). The other event is a man in the corner who will trade his Lonely natured Machop named Muscle with a Macho Brace for your Drowzee you can get at Route 34. On the 6th floor is a daily drawing. YOu pay P300 and they’ll tell you what you won, I believe it’s based off your trainer ID. The Basement holds a few items that you can have access to later in the game. You have to wait for the Machoke to push the stuff out of the way.

Pokemon Friend Rater
After that you can head to the middle of the city. Go East from the middle to another alleyway downward. The first house has a woman that can tell you how happy your pokemon are. Atleast the first one in your party.
The Second house is actually a bike shop! Talk to the man and you’ll get a free bike!
West of midtown is the Magnet Train, but it won’t be open just yet. West of that building is the Goldenrod City Radio Tower.
Goldenrod City Radio Tower
You’ll hear about the Radio Tower all over town. The lady in the middle at the counter will give you a free lottery. If it matches your ID Number you could win a good price. The lady on the right will give you a quick to receive the radio card upgrade on your PokeGear. The Answers are like so Yes, Yes, No, Yes, No. You’ll see the GYM Leader leave to the GYM afterwords. Head to the second floor and talk to Buena to receive the Blue Card from her. After that take the Underground Passage.
To the West of that is the Global Terminal. The Global Terminal lets you trade and battle people all across the world!
Now head back to midtown and go North. To the Left is the name rater. He lets you change the nicknames of all your pokemon except for traded ones. To the left of that house is an Underground Passage. It extends all the way to the other side of town next to Bill’s House.
To the right of the intersection is the GYM, Flower Shop, and just a regular House. I will go further on about the GYM Later. When you beat the GYM Leader you can get a squirtbottle from the flower shop.
Underground Passage
When you enter you’ll run into Lyra. She’ll give you a Fashion Case. You’ll run into a few trainers down there. This is how they are listed from top to bottom:

GYM Leader Whitney – P2280, TM45 Attract, Plain Badge which allows you to use strength outside of battle.
This GYM Leader can be quite tough. She starts off with Clefairy who can attract you if you physically attack her. Attract is a horrible move that works on opposite gender pokemon. The attack Encore can really screw with you too. If you do a weak attack or attack that won’t work multiple times, encore will make you do this move and only this move repeatedly. Metronome is like a roll of the dice. It could be ANY move at random so watch out. Mimic steals a move from your pokemon battling Clefairy. Try and take her out quick and get to the real tough pokemon Miltank. If your pokemon are male then Miltank will probably attract you and render it nearly useless. Stomp is a strong move and rollout is a decent move that only gets stronger. Milk Drink will restore it’s HP. It’s scrappy ability allows it’s normal moves to hit ghost type pokemon. And it’s Lum Berry heals any status problem Miltank may get in battle. So plan accordingly!
Clefairy (Female) Lv17
Type:Normal
Ability:Cute Charm
Attacks:
-Double Slap (Normal/Physical)
-Mimic (Normal/Other)
-Encore (Normal/Other)
-Metronome (Normal/Physical or Special or Other)
EXP:247
Miltank w/Lum Berry (Female) Lv19

Ability:Scrappy
Attacks:
-Rollout (Rock/Physical)
-Attract (Normal/Other)
-Stomp (Normal/Physical)
-Milk Drink (Normal/Other)
EXP:813
After the battle Whitney will cry. Head back and a trainer will stop you. Go back to Whitney to get your badge and TM.
