Multiplayer Playlists

There are 14 different play lists on multiplayer. The play lists in Modern Warfare 2 Include:

Team Deathmatch
Straight up Team Deatmatch. Use teamwork to kill enemy players and reach the score limit. 8-12 Players. 100 XP Per Kill. 20 XP Per Assist 7500 Points to end the game. Watch the kill cam or respawn immediately. 10 Minute Time Limit. Maps Playable: All

Mercenary Team Deathmatch
Team Deathmatch with random teams, no parties allowed. Use teamwork to kill enemy players and reach the score limit. Same as Regular but with No MW2 Parties. Maps Playable: All

Free-for-all
Straight up Deathmatch. Every man for himself. Kill everyone. 4-8 Players. XBL Party Chat allowed. 50 XP Per Kill. No Assists. 30 Kills wins the game. 10 Minute Time Limit. Maps Playable: Terminal, Skidrow, Rust, Estate, Favela, High Rise, Sub Base, Karachi, Scrapyard, Afghan.

Domination
3 flags in the level must be captured. Your team gets points for having control of a flag. The more flags your team holds, the more points you gain. It takes about 9 seconds to capture a flag alone, it captures faster with more team mates on the flag. Points get added to the score every 6 seconds, 1 point per flag captured. First team to 200 points wins. 8-12 players. 50 XP Per Kill. 20 XP Per Assist. 100 XP Per Kill if you or enemy is capturing the flag. 150 XP for Capturing a flag. Maps Playable: All but Rust.

Ground War
Big Team Games – Team Deathmatch (first to 100 kills/1000 points) and Domination (first to 200 points). 12-18 players. XBL Party Chat Allowed.

Demolition
Attackers must destroy the 2 bomb sites within the time limit. Each player has a bomb automatically. After they’re destroyed or time runs out then you switch sides and defend. First team to two round wins, wins. If the teams tie then you go to overtime, attack or defend (randomly chosen). 30 seconds for the bomb to go off. 2:30 Minutes for each round. If you plant a bomb it’s own timer replaces the match timer with a 45 second timer. If the bomb goes off you get a Time Extension. Time Extension adds another 2:30 – 3:10 minutes. Killstreaks and deathstreaks roll over through the rounds, and after each round it shows you your bonus match points which add up at the end of the game. 8-12 players. Respawning is ON. 50 XP Per Kill 20 XP per assist. Maps Playable: Afghan, Derail, Terminal, Sub Base, Skidrow, Scrapyard, Quarry, Karachi, Invasion, High Rise, Underpass, Favela, Rundown, and Estate. Plus DLC.

Sabotage
Grab the neutral bomb and plant it on the enemy’s bomb site. First to detonate wins! One bomb site per map and only visible on your map/HUD when you or your team mates have the bomb. Bomb timer is about 40 seconds. 8-12 players. 100 XP Per Kill. You must wait the entire kill cam time to respawn. Everyone can see where the bomb is which updates every 2 seconds. If the timer runs out (20 Minutes) then there’s a 90 second sudden death match. Maps Playable: All but rust.

Headquarters Pro
A target HQ is marked and activates in 30 seconds. Capture it and defend it. You gain points the longer you hold it. 8-12 players. 50 XP Perk Kill and 10XP Per assist, 250 XP for capturing/destroying HQ, 10 XP for each 5 seconds (for up to 60 seconds) you hold the headquarter. 200 Points to win the game. While holding the HQ you cannot respawn. HQ Captures/Destroys faster with more friendlies near it and doesn’t at all with enemies near it. 20 Minute Time limit. Maps Playable: All.

Search and Destroy
No respawning, defend and destroy the objective. One team attacks with one bomb in the whole map. Plant the bomb in one of two sites with a 45 second time limit or eliminate the entire enemy team. Switch sides to defend the two sites on each map by eliminate the enemy team, defusing the bomb, or allowing the time to run out before a bomb is planted. First team to four wins wins the match. Each round is 2:30 and if a bomb is planted then the match timer is gone in place of the bomb timer. 8-12 Players. 500XP Perk Kill, 200XP Per assist, 1000 XP To Plant/Defuse, and destroying killstreaks gives an extra 10x point bonus. Maps Playable: All but Rust.

Capture the Flag
Bring the enemy flag back to your team’s base while your flag is there to score points. 5 Minutes per round. 1 round and you switch sides. The team with the most flag captures at the end of the two rounds wins. If there’s a tie you go into overtime and switch sides or stay on the same side (chosen at random) and first team to touch the enemy flag wins. Respawn could be instant to 8 seconds. 8-12 Players. 50 XP Per Kill and to Grab the Flag. 20 XP per assist. 250 XP to Capture the Flag. 100 XP to kill someone while close they or you are close to a flag. Maps Playable: All but Rust.

3rd Person Teams(NO LONGER ACTIVE)
Third person perspective with Team Deathmatch, Domination, Capture the Flag, and Demolition. 6-8 Players. XBL Party Chat allowed.

Hardcore Ricochet: SD
Hardcore Search and Destroy with ricochet friendly fire. 8-12 players. Limited HUD, No health regeneration, Extra bullet damage.

Hardcore Team Deathmatch
Team Deathmatch with 8-12 players, limited HUD, Extra Bullet damage (In reality the health is lowered from 100 to 30), No health regeneration, Friendly fire is on. You have to wait to respawn 1-15 seconds. This seems to be the only game you can team kill on. If you team kill right from the start you die instantly and have to wait to respawn. Or if you kill three times then you die and have to wait to respawn. Each time after that you die instantly and have to wait longer to respawn. Maps Playable: All bust Rust.

3rd Person Cage Match(NO LONGER ACTIVE)
1v1 Deathmatch fought in 3rd person mode. 100 points per kill. First to 20 kills wins. 10 Minute Time Limit. XBL party chat allowed. In third person mode you see your character. When you aim with the trigger some cross hairs pop up so you can see where you’re aiming. You cannot see the heartbeat sensor. You can look through a sniper scope and a thermal scope. The ACOG scope just shows a really tight crosshair almost like the throwing knife but not as long. Maps Playable: Rust, Favela, Terminal, High Rise, Scrapyard, Sub Base.

Team Deathmatch Expresss
Team Deathmatch with shorter intermission time between matches. 8-12 players. Maps Playable: All.

Mosh Pit(NO LONGER ACTIVE)
Mixed bag of all objective game modes and TDM in one playlist. 8-12 players

Hardcore Ricochet: HQ Pro
Headquarters Pro with Hardcore Ricochet Rules. 8-12 Players. Limited HUD. Extra bullet damage. Friendly Fire is directed back at the shooter. Maps Playable: All

Team Tactical
Added with the two stimulus playlists. 6-8 Players. Team Deathmatch(first to 5000 Points/50 Kills), Domination(200 Points still), Demolition, and Capture the flag rotates in this playlist. XBL Party Chat Enabled.

3rd Person Team Tactical
Added with the two stimulus playlists. 6-8 Players. Team Deathmatch, Domination, Demolition, and Capture the flag rotates in this playlist. XBL Party Chat Enabled.

Stimulus/Resurgence (NO LONGER ACTIVE)
Stimulus OR Resurgence DLC Maps only using the playlists Team Deathmatch, Domination, Demolition, Sabotage, and Search & Destroy. 8-12 Players.

Hardcore Stimulus/Resugence (NO LONGER ACTIVE)
Stimulus OR Resurgence DLC Maps only using the playlists Team Deathmatch, Headquarters Pro, and Search & Destroy under hardcore Ricochet Rules. 8-12 Players.

Barebones Pro
Team Deathmatch and Free For All where all killstreak rewards are disabled. 4-8 Players. Xbox Live Party Chat Allowed.

Objective Barebones Pro
Domination, Demolition, HQ Pro, and Capture the Flag. All killstreak rewards are disabled. 8-12 players. Xbox Live Party Chat Allowed.

Hardcore Mosh Pit
Mixed bag of many game modes in one playlist. Hardcore rules without ricochet. Game modes such as Sabotage, Domination, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Demolition, Ricochet Headquarters Pro, and Search & Destroy. 8-12 Players.
