Game Mechanics
The engine of this game is basically the same as the past IW Call of Duty games. You can only run for a certain amount of time unless you have the new marathon perk in mutliplayer to run around forever. Certain gun classes weigh you down more than others. LMGs will make you move slower than Assault Rifles, and both will weigh you down more than SMGs. Melee is always one hit kill with the knife, and the hit detection is notorious for being a bit off. Bullets do not travel so you don’t have to worry about bullet drop or wind or anything of that sort, however if a person is running it may be best to shoot in front of them. If you have bad lag/ping in multiplayer you may need to shoot way in front of them all the time. All guns have the same damage multipliers, the body having none and the head having a 40% increase in power, with the exception of sniper rifles and shotguns which have their own set, explained in the weapons section. Each bullet of each gun has a set amount of damage which is reduced over longer ranges on most guns, through surfaces, and if the enemy has painkiller on. Stopping Power and Headshots increase the power of the gun by 40% each. More on the weapon mechanics is explained in full detail in the weapons section. Sometimes the hit detection on weapons is a bit off just like the melee. Reload speeds differ if you fully empty your mag compared to leaving atleast one bullet in the mag, meaning it’s still in the chamber of the gun.
