Bulletstorm Guide

Anarchy Mode

[toc]

Anarchy mode pits you and up to three friends against 20 waves of enemies. You can play online or in a private match, you will rank up either way. This is the only game mode that allows you to play online with friends. Perform single or team skillshots to earn skillpoints. Your team must reach a score limit to progress to the next wave. If you reach the score limit before killing all enemies, you will earn a bonus. Once you reach the score limit, you must still eliminate all the enemies to progress. The score limit depends on how many people are in the game. The more players, the higher the score limit.

Use your skillpoints between waves to upgrade your characters and weapons. You will have 30 seconds to leash to a “Dropshop” and upgrade whatever you want. You can also buy a secondary weapon in these Dropshops.

Teammates can be killed during the match. Press the appropriate button, the kick button, next to them to revive them. If everyone is killed during the match, the wave will end. If you do not earn enough points to advanced to the next wave, you must replay the wave to try and reach the score limit again. If you fail to beat a wave enough times (around 5), the game will end.

There is always a set amount of enemies in each wave. Work as a team to earn enough skillpoints to advance. Each wave has multiple TEAM CHALLENGES. A Team Challenge is when a certain enemy is highlighted on the map with a skillshot name above him. You must kill the enemy with your team, using that particular skillshot, in order to get a huge bonus. Use the Team Challenges to help you progress through the higher waves.

Another reward in Anarchy Mode is called BLOOD SYMPHONY. You may notice a small red meter under your leash recharge meter while playing Anarchy Mode, this is the Blood Symphony meter. Once it is filled you will earn extra points via Blood Symphony. To use Blood Symphony click your right stick, then use your leash or kick enemies for instant kills worth 250 Sp. You only have Blood Symphony for a few seconds, so use it wisely. Blood Symphony will not work on bosses. It may injure them when you kick them, but it will not kill them instantly.

Enemies

There are roughly 10 types of enemies in Anarchy Mode. Each one has a specific role that they play.

Troopers

Troopers are regular enemy. They use a PMC, nothing special.

Shotgunners

bulletstorm_shotgunner

The shotgunners are pretty similar to the normal enemies. They use Bonedusters (Shotguns) instead of the PMCs. The Bonedusters will stop you in your tracks for a second.

Freaks

bulletstorm_freak

Freaks use axes and will always run up to you to melee you. If you headshot them up close, they will poison you and cause your screen to turn green and blurry. You can hurt the other enemies by headshotting them far away when they’re in a group.

Creeps

Creeps are faster than the other enemies. They will almost always dodge your kicks and leash. Use the slide attack to get them in the air. They use PMCs and Head Hunters (Sniper Rifles).

Flailgunners

bulletstorm_flailgunner

I’m not sure of the name these enemies use, but they always use the flail gun. If they attach the grenades to you, you will not be able to use your weapon until the grenades explode. Shoot them in the chest to blow up their vests for a quick kill, but the kill will only result in 10 points.

Dodgers

bulletstorm_dodger

Dodgers use strong weapons, but they aren’t much tougher than the regular enemies. You can see them standing completely still while they aim at you. They use charged shot screamers only. Kill them like any other enemy.

Bosses

There are bosses in Anarchy mode. You cannot leash nor kick them like you can with any other enemy. They are tough and use strong weapons. Take them out with charge shots, team work, and well placed hits. You can drop them to a knee to deal the final blow. Shoot them in the head when they’re down to finish them off.

Chaingunner

bulletstorm_chaingunner

The chaingunner is a boss that uses a chain gun. They don’t do as much damage as the other bosses, but they are still strong. Weaken them with charge shots, then shoot them in the head to kill them.

Cannoneer

bulletstorm_cannoneer

The cannoneers use the bouncer weapon. The bouncer can deal heavy damage to you, so be careful. Shoot the explosives on their back to make them flinch, then shoot them enough to drop them too a knee. Once they’re down to a knee you can finish them off with some shots to the head like all other bosses.

Driller

bulletstorm_driller

The drillers may be the toughest bosses of them all. They use the penetrator weapon which can kill you in two shots! Dodge the drills as much as you can. You can aim at their belts to break them. The electric belts will shock you if you try to leash them. Get them down to one knee and finish them off with some shots to the head.

Weapons and Upgrades

BulletStorm features 6 weapons in Anarchy mode, each with their own unique abilities. If you include the leash, the weapons come up to 7. Each weapon costs 2000 skillpoints to buy. The leash and Peacemaker Carbine are your default weapons.

After each round you can leash yourself to dropshops. The dropshops allow you to buy weapons, ammo clips, charge shots, and upgrades with the skillpoints you earned throughout the rounds.

All weapons can be upgraded up to three times for a certain amount of skillpoints. The upgrades are USUALLY as follows: The Ammo Capacity Upgrades the Ammo and Charge Shots, the Speed Upgrades the Reload Speed and Rate of Fire, and the Power Upgrades the Damage of the weapon.
