This guide was created by Hector Madrigal on December 21, 2010. The information in this guide was created by me, taken from the Battlefield Bad Company 2 website, taken from the game itself, and taken from the PC code to insure accurate weapon information that often changes with the patches.
This guides uses ID tags to help you navigate quickly. You will noticed the ID tags in the table of contents. They’re the letters inside the brackets next to each section. To use them, highlight the brackets and letters, click CTRL and F, then click the arrow down. You should be transported to that area instantly.
Vietnam is the expansion pack to DICE’s hit first person shooter “Battlefield: Bad Company 2.” So obviously you will need to buy BFBC2 in order to play the expansion pack. The expansion pack was released on December 21, 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3. It was also released on the PC on December 18, 2010 in the EA Store. This game was developed by DICE and published by EA. You can buy the DLC for 1200 Microsoft Points, €12.99, $14.99, £9.99. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 uses the Frostbite 1.5 engine to run the game. To run it on the PC you will need the follow specs:

Q: Do you need Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to play the Vietnam Expansion Pack?
A: Yes. You will also need to download the massive update for BFBC2, then download the 12 MB expansion pack.
Q: Will I start from level 1 and rank back up to level 50?
A: No, all ranks are still the same. You can continue to level up from where you left off in the main game.
Q: Is there a separate leaderboard for the expansion pack?
A: According to the 360 version, it is the same leaderboard as the main game. I would assume the same for PS3 and possibly PC.
Q: Are there any new single player missions?
A: No, this expansion is multiplayer only.
Q: Who do you play as?
A: You get to play as either the US Army or the North Vietnamese Army (NVA).
Q: Can I use the main BFBC2 weapons in the expansion pack?
A: No, only the weapons listed in this guide can be used. Same with the specializations.
Q: Can I use any weapons from the start?
A: All weapons, except for the 870 Combat, are unlocked from the get go. If you unlocked the 870 Combat in the main game, you will be able to use it in the expansion pack. Same goes for the specializations and gadgets.

Q: I’m getting tired of this song playing in the vehicles, can I change it?
A: Yes, click left or right on the D-Pad to switch channels if you’re the driver.
