Downloadable Content
Downloadable Content or DLC are extra things you can download from the Bad Company 2 Store to add to the game. Some were available from the release of the game and some are available at a later date. All map packs will not charge you if you have VIP status according to DICE. To get VIP you either have to buy the game brand new and enter the code of buy VIP Status off of the Store.
Bad Company 2 VIP
Cost 1200 Microsoft Points or $14.99 or free if you bought the game brand new. Gives you access to all the map packs in the future for free.
Map Pack 1
Also called the VIP Map Pack 1. It contains the maps Laguna Alta for Conquest mode and Nelson Bay for Rush mode.
Map Pack 2
Also called the VIP Map Pack 2. The maps Arica Harbor will be available on Conquest mode and Laguna Presa will be available on Rush mode. Released 4/1/2010
Map Pack 3
Also called the VIP Map Pack 3. The maps Laguna Alta will be available on Squad Rush Mode and Nelson Bay will be available on Squad Death Match mode. Released 6/9/2010
Map Pack 4
Also called the VIP Map Pack 4. The maps Atacama Desert will be available on Rush Mode and Port Valdez will be available on Conquest Mode. Release 7/7/2010
Map Pack 5
Also called the VIP Map Pack 5. The maps Nelson Bay will be available on Conquest mode and White Pass will be available on Rush Mode. Release 7/28/2010
Map Pack 6
Also called the VIP Map Pack 6. The maps Panama Canal will be available on Squad Deathmatch mode and Laguna Presa will be available on Squad Rush mode. Released 8/18/2010
Map Pack 7
Also called the VIP Map Pack 7. This time 4 entirely new maps will be released. Harvest Day, Oasis, Cold War, and Heavy Metal are the names of the maps. Harvest Day, Oasis, and Cold War will be playable on Rush; Harvest Day, Oasis, and Heavy Metal will be playable on Conquest; Harvest Day, Oasis, and Cold War will be playable on Squad Rush; Harvest Day, Oasis, and Heavy Metal will be playable on Squad Deathmatch. Released 12/1/2010
SPECACT Upgrade Bundle
SPECACT Bundle. 4 kit specific unique uniforms and camouflaged weapons gives you a visual edge. Adds 4 Trophies or 4 Achievements according to battlefield’s official website. Part of a US Dr.Pepper promotion, 480 Microsoft Points or $5.50 for PSN.

Onslaught Mode
1-4 Players vs infinite waves of AI. Released June 24, 2010 on the Xbox 360 for 800 microsoft points and PS3 for $9.99. Released in Europe June 23, 2010. No news of when or truly if it will come out on the PC version. 4 Maps (Valpariso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay) with 4 difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard, Hardcore) with the ability to use your weapon unlocks from online multiplayer.
