Anime(ted) Gifs #4 – Persona 4 The Animation

Welcome to the next issues of Anime(ted) Gifs! This issue is all about the awesome Persona 4 Anime.

I’ve actually been pretty busy with the Shin Megami Tensei IV guide for IGN. Since that’s been taking up most of my time, I decided to make this issue for another SMT brand: Persona 4. Most people know that the Persona franchise spun-off from Shin Megami Tensei franchise. However, the SMT logo has been dropped from the front of Persona 4 The Animation and Persona 4 Golden.

The original Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 released on PS2 a few years ago. It seemed to go under the radar until they re-released it with a few upgrades for PS Vita. The PS Vita version was renamed Persona 4 [The] Golden. I bought it earlier this year and instantly fell in love with it. I liked it so much I bought all the other Personas. I’ve played two of the four so far (Persona 2 is split in two). The people behind Persona 4 also decided to release a 26 episode anime that follows the Persona 4 story, but it does not include any extras from Persona 4 Golden, unfortunately. It’s still a great anime, and it has a number of great scenes to take from and create Gifs out of! One quick note if you decide to buy the anime: the DVDs include the Japanese and English audio, but the Blu Rays only include the English audio. I hope you all like the Persona 4 Gifs, it’s my biggest issue yet!

For those that don't know, Personas are these monsters, sort of, that must be evoked from users. In Persona 4, they use cards to evoke them.

Rise Kujikawa was a teen idol. Her stage name was Risette in the English version. In the Japanese version, it was Risechi. Why? My guess is they were trying to add a small status to Rise. Chisai is the word for small in Japanese. In English, we use -ette to make a few things small, like cigars to cigarettes.

In the game, you can form relationships with any of the girls, but it seems like Rise is the default choice. She's very attracted to the protagonist, and her Persona is of the "Lovers" Arcana.
